This article provides important clarification regarding the SharePoint integration with Lasernet FO Connector.

What Has Changed?

• Microsoft has deprecated using a Microsoft-managed high-trust connection for SharePoint integration authentication. The alternative authentication method is now user-based SharePoint authentication, which is a mandatory prerequisite starting from Dynamics 365 FinOps 10.0.42. • Lasernet FO Connector 7.1.3 has introduced support for user-based SharePoint authentication.

• MSAL-based authentication is also supported in 7.1.3 and earlier versions as an alternative.

What Should You Do?

If you use Dynamics 365 FinOps 10.0.42 or later and rely on SharePoint:

• Use MSAL-based authentication

OR

• Upgrade to Lasernet FO Connector 7.1.3 or later to use the default connection/authentication between FinOps and SharePoint.
